Abstract

The California bicycle accident experience is described as being representative of trends for the rest of the nation. It is estimated that at the current rates, 25,000-30,000 bicyclists will be killed or injured in 1975. Attention is directed toward the individual cyclist who wants to use the bike for a variety of reasons and is not looking for a separate bike path.
