Abstract

The Dutch delegation of the European Experimental Vehicle Committee (EEVC), Working Group 7 "Pedestrian injury accidents" has suggested that attention should be given to bicycle-car accidents because in the Netherlands this type of accident happened more frequently than the pedestrian-car accidents. In 1982 a new working group was set up that deals with bicycle accidents and far as possible also light powered two-wheeler accidents, and a discussion paper, presented here, was made for this group.
