Abstract

The present situation of transport in Nicaragua is outlined. To make bicycle transport successful in Nicaragua the following conditions will have to be fulfilled:- bicycle promoting activities have to be co- ordinated. - imports of bicycles and spare parts have to be multiplied. - bicycle production should start with decentralized assembly workshops. - maintenance of bicycles has to be promoted under all cyclists. - bicycles should be within reach of all sectors of the Nicaraguan society.
