Abstract

Summing up, it can be stated that in Hungary in the recent period besides the increasing popularity of cycling, steps have been taken in the field of planning and development, and thus an account can already be given about modest results. Finally about neighbouring socialist countries it can be said that their trends are quite similar to the Hungarians, however considering actual results they are more or less behind the Hungarian practice.
