Abstract
The bicycle is energy- efficient and it does not pollute the atmosphere. It also provides a healthy and agreeable form of exercise. This book argues that the present revival of bicycle use is likely to continue and flourish. But local authorities still pay too little attention to ways of making cycling safer. In practical terms is shown how planners and engineers can make provisions for cyclists.
