Abstract

Most transportation planning professionals will have had limited or no experience with catering for the bicycle as a transport mode, hence this group of users have been very poorly catered for. This paper presents an overview of the significance of the usage level of this mode, specific problem areas related to it, and a review of the solutions that are available.
