Abstract

This issue consists of 18 papers that explore estimating bicycle intersection volumes, uniform vehicle code and state statutes governing bicycling, riding locations, exposure of bicyclists to traffic-related particulate matter, China’s Hangzhou public bicycle program, temporal trends and impact of weather on cycling in an urban environment, and how infrastructure and destinations influence bicycle accessibility. It also examines bicycle parking, shared lane markings, severity of pedestrian and cyclist injuries in crashes, intersection crossing times of bicyclists, travel time competitiveness of cycling, marriage of cycling and transit, and cycle centers.
