Abstract

Bicycle accidents for the period 1965-1968 were analyzed according to a number of variables. The variables investigated covered five major categories. The first involves features of the situation in which the accident occurred. The second concerns characteristics of the accident itself. The third concerns the presence of defects in the motor vehicle and whether the motor vehicle driver was charged with a traffic violation. Characteristics of the driver are reported in the fourth and the fifth category concerns the bicyclist.
