Abstract

The Benchmarking Project tracks bicycling and walking trends across the United States and publishes an updated report every two years. This 2014 report includes data for all 50 states, 52 of the most populous U.S. cities, and 17 midsized cities. It is a resource for elected officials, bicycle and pedestrian advocates, agency staff, researchers, media, and anyone searching for a means to measure bicycling and walking progress. Illustrations, case studies, and text summaries are compiled into chapters by topic. (Author/publisher)
