Abstract

Increased sales and usage of bicycles during the last few years have resulted in concern over the safety of their users and existing rules that bicyclists should follow. This document reviews the laws of 50 states and of 50 communities selected at random relating to bicycles. The laws and ordinances are those adopted before January 1, 1974. No attempt has been made to include state or local laws adopted during 1974.
