Abstract

During the last twenty years, there have been tremendous changes in racing equipment and in the development of track safety features. Very little has been scientifically analysed in predicting the efficacy of such installations and little has been quantitively analysed once these changes have been adopted. The knowledge gained from certain crash dynamics during competition is discussed with respect to injury mechanics.
