Abstract
A correct image of the effectiveness of the means of protection can be had by analysing the data of injuries in connection with the data of damage and the data on the accident. To obtain the data on injuries of patients in hospitals the SWOV appeals to the co-operation of the doctors in the hospitals. The data were collected between the middle of 1976 and the end of 1977. On the base of these data the SWOV now does research into the remaining consequences of car accidents.
