Abstract

Within the framework of the child traffic education project a preliminary version of a pedestrian task analysis was developed, to serve as an aid for the formulation of educational objectives and for the systematic ordering of empirical data concerning factual performance and the relevant psychological abilities. The method of analysis is hereby described. By means of a behaviour-requirement analysis we formulated 26 pedestrian tasks, whereby the behaviour and psychological processes are described which are considered necessary for a safe task performance. A full description of all tasks is added as an appendix.
