Abstract

A study of linked death certificate information reveals that among fatally injured motorcycle riders, there is a direct correlation between an head injury and helmet use. In fact, while about 35 percent of the helmeted motorcyclists had a head injury, about 51 percent of the unhelmeted motorcyclists had a head injury. (Author/publisher)
