Abstract

The increasing density and traffic unsafety are the cause of the decrease of highway vegetation in particular, the trees along the roads. Analysis shows the necessity of a road without trees, because of the number of collisions vehicle/tree. A solution can be found in a replanting of trees. Highway vegetation can have a positive influence for alignment, if the distance between tree and road is big enough.
