Abstract

Movement times were obtained for nine adult drivers for three accelerator-brake pedal separations. The typical separation (6.35 cm laterally and 5.08 cm vertically) produced significantly longer movements than did either a 10.16 cm. Or 15.24 cm. Lateral separation with no vertical separation.
