Break-even benefit-cost analysis of alternative express transit systems.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to determine; first, the economic rationale in terms of benefits and costs of building a rapid transit bus-way; second, to determine the break-even demand points where the benefit cost ratio of alternate systems become better than the bus-way. Three alternative systems were compared.
