Abstract

An experimental bridge constructed of high-strength concrete hasbeen built at joigny, france. The project is part of a national research program bringing together the french ministry of public works and ministry of research, the cement industry, university and state laboratories, and professional associations and institutions. The bridge has been instrumented in order to verify its long-term behaviorand its durability in coparison with that of ordinary concrete bridges. This paper appears in transportation research record no. 1275, Bridge research 1990.
