Abstract

A vehicle dashboard sticker that read "safety belt use required in this vehicle" was found to double the use of safety belts by front- seat passengers. During an initial two- week baseline phase, 24 graduate students (who always buckled up when driving) recorded safety belt use by front- seat passengers in their automobiles.
