Abstract

Buses and coaches also called public service vehicles (PSVs) were involved in 11,993 injury accidents in 1990, and of these 9,292 bus and coach passengers were injured in those accidents (or 3% of all road accident casualties). Statistical tables are presented on: casualties by age and sex and seating position; other road users involved in bus and coach statistics; and seating capacity of buses and coaches involved in accidents.
