Abstract

Methods are indicated of examining the feasibility of providing priority for buses and of assessing the benefits to be achieved. The bus route studies described constitute a major effort to direct the maximum available study capacity into the most rewarding sections of bus operation, the aim being to implement a significant number of worthwhile priority schemes in the shortest possible time and in the most efficient manner.
