Abstract

This report of the Transportation Research Board covers characteristics of bus occupant safety and transit agency programs for reduction of accidents/incidents such as those addressing driver and customer safety, vehicle improvement needs and safety inspections, bus stops and stations, safety management, and state transit agencies and transit operating companies. Appendices offer examples of inspection and accident report forms, as well as examples of training and award programs. (Author/publisher)
