Abstract

Analysis of 127 casualties in bus passengers showed that in a mixed urban and rural district this is mainly a problem for elderly people in urban buses. Most injuries were minor, only 17% needed hospital admission. By interview of 63 cases it was shown that a majority of injuries were acquired by faling of bus decelerations and entering or leaving the bus.
