Abstract
The public bus transport in the village of Soest has been transformed during the years several times when the city was expanding. However, the bus network has never been changed principally, but at a certain moment it did not satisfy the requirements anymore, and a general revision was made. The village and the regional bus company have designed a new bus network, supplying the local people a good service in the city itself, and with good connections for transport in the region. After a decline in the number of passenger during the first nine months, now about 20% more passengers use the bus, even if they have to change transport more than in earlier times.
