Abstract

This paper describes the Cadillac DeVille Night Vision system designed to provide drivers with visual information beyond the range of headlamps and also accommodate the glare of oncoming vehicles' headlamps. The system consists of a thermal imaging camera, a head-up display, and image controls. The system requirements and parameters of the vision system are discussed.
