Abstract

The aims of this study are: 1) to establish whether there are differences between countries in the locations were pedestrians cross, the road, and to establish differences in their use of crossing facilities; 2) to assess the effect of laws and regulations controlling pedestrians on where they cross the road; and 3) to attempt to rank facilities, with regard to the safety they provide for pedestrians.
