Abstract

A complex dynamic simulation model constitutes a huge number of processes (functions), variables, functional mathematical forms, and parameters with varying impact on the overall model effectiveness and its state estimation accuracy. The major obstacle in calibrating complex simulation models is the interdependency among the functions, which complicates identifying the sources of error between the state estimation and reality. This paper presents a framework for calibrating the complex simulation models. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
