Abstract

HDM-4 road deterioration (RD) models (roughness, rutting and cracking) were calibrated for Australian conditions based on extensive performance data derived from long term pavement performance (LTPP and LTPPM) monitoring sites, performance data supplied by state road authorities and accelerated load testing (ALF) from Austroads funded projects. Specific works effects (WE) models for a typical range of surface maintenance treatments were also developed using the above data. This paper summarises the outcomes of this work and presents the basis for its application in practice for sealed road network asset management.
