Abstract

A calibration study has been planned in order to find similarities and dissimilarities between the scoring systems of observers (scales, dimensions) and a comprehension of these with regard to the more objective characteristics of the conflict situations. This, in order to compare results. The data will consist of severity- scores for a number of traffic conflict situations from various international observers, together with characteristics of those situations such as speeds, decelerations, types of vehicle used by the participants in the conflict etc.
