Abstract

The operation of public transport and its present role in Canberra with the objective of formulating proposals to increase its efficiency and usage is described. Investigations were made of past development in Canberra and possible future trends, of public attitudes and reasons for choice of transport mode, of bus operations and characteristics including patronage and of relevant interval administrative aspects.
