Abstract

Frequencies of accidents to car drivers of different age in Britain in 1972 and 1973 are analyzed. As well as the rates for all accidents, rates are also estimated for accidents of different types. There are two natural measures of accident risk, namely the number of accidents per driver and the number of accidents per unit of distance travelled by drivers, and this report deals with the latter measure.
