Abstract

In the study of stability to car-following models till now on only conditions are deduced, which guarantee the stability on the long term. In this research it is tried to deduce conditions, to which a linear discrete model must fulfill, in order that also on a short term no collisions take place. The driver must react sufficient quick and in a sufficient way on the difference in speed.
