Abstract

In the eindhoven area the DAF factories, manufacturers of trucks, have established a car-pooling project for their employees. The system has developed from a service which was offered by DAF in an earlier period, when jobs in their eindhoven factories had to be made as attractive as possible and employees were brought in by 118 buses. Nowadays 58 buses and 127 mini-buses and cars are being used. A number of company cars were abandoned. The system proves to be attractive for the employees, but also shows the necessity of an adequate organisation. (Author/publisher)
