In-car safety : children update (2004-2007).

This issue of Current Topics includes over 75 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the safety of children in passenger cars. Abstracts are included on the design, testing, anchorage, installation and fit of various restraint systems, including lap and shoulder belts, rearward facing systems, framed child seats; other subjects include studies on usage, enforcement, legislation and injuries to restrained children. There are also abstracts relating to injuries attributed to air bags. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2004 and 2007. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
