Abstract
The possibilities of using the microcomputer in traffic control are described. First possibilities for application are considered: traffic management (road pricing), board information (gives information about the systems in the car), route guidance, hazard warning, emergency calls, and communication with a radio installation. Secondly a standard for classification of the communication is presented. An overview of the systems is given and some arguments for standardisation of the different systems are discussed.
