Abstract

This short paper describes the real time traffic information and route guidance system, CARMINAT. Its objectives and networks are presented briefly. Three programmes for evaluating the system are in progress, and the criteria which are being used for the evaluation are listed. The evaluation is being carried out in the Paris area as part of the Cities project. The interurban projects are being evaluated as part of the PLEIADES and MELYSSA DRIVE programmes. Brief details of all three projects are provided. No results are given.
