Abstract

This paper describes the result of ongoing and planned research. Mainly it is the result of an empirical study. A questionnaire was distributed to 1.000 Swedish individuals selected by strata: age, sex and education. In this paper the following four points are put into focus: (1) The car can, for many individuals, have an existential value; (2) Music has, in this context, a function with obvious effects; (3) Application and consequences in relation to traffic safety; and (4) Work forms and methods.
