Abstract

This paper sets out the case against daytime- lights for motorcycles and motorcars. The chronology of international daytime- light legislation is set- out. In summary: the research literature has seldom agreed as unanimously on the value of a vehicle collision countermeasure as it has on daytime running lights and the evidence in favour of daytime lights for motorcycles is incontrovertible.
