Abstract

In November 1978 a new section was introduced into the Danish Traffic Act.According to this new section, it became possible to implement speed reducing measures in the streets. A research project was started in 1982 with the aim of evaluating the safety improving effect of such countermeasures. Intermediate results of the project are presented, together with comments in the study design.
