Abstract

The first phase of a research programme into person trip generation techniques is reported. In particular, the concept of the category analysis approach to trip end productions is examined in detail. The methodology is developed and calibration techniques are also detailed. The significance of the postulated relationship is examined in the light of a small sample of Australian data, together with the suitability of the model as a result of these tests. A discussion is added.
