Abstract

This issue of Current Topics includes over 85 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on road accident causation. Papers are abstracted on the influence of various factors on driving behaviour, such as stress, fatigue, drug and alcohol use; the relationship between road traffic accidents and speeding, driver age and sex, driver training and weather conditions. These items have been selected from the material added to the TRL Library Database between 1997 and 2000. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database. The previous edition, Current Topics in Transport CT 91 (see IRRD 873211 (C 5037 S), covered abstracts of articles added to the database from 1992-1995.
