Abstract

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on road accident causation. Papers are abstracted on the influence of various factors on driving behaviour, such as stress, fatigue, drug and alcohol use; the relationship between road traffic accidents and speeding, driver age and gender, andhighway design and environmental conditions. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2006 and 2009. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database. For previous issues, see C 28802 S (ITRD E120886), C 16227 S (ITRD E106795) and C 5037 S (IRRD 873211).
