Abstract

The aim of this book chapter is to summarize current research regarding the impact of the use of wireless technology on driving performance in general, and cellular telephone use in particular. The authors' review of the literature is organized based on the type of distraction (telephone conversation, text messaging) and on the methodology used to conduct the study.
