Abstract

Traffic systems can raise the traffic output of intersections enhance safety and facilitate an orderly traffic flow by establishing distinct time relationship and displaying clearly discernible signals. The control facilities required for switching the traffic signals should be sufficiently flexible to be able to respond even to minor change in the traffic pattern.
