Abstract

Spinal cord injuries caused by distraction forces to children restrained in the rear seats of passenger vehicles are not often reported in the medical or automotive safety literature. This paper adds several cases not previously identified. Other incidents of distraction injuries to the thoracic region are mentioned as part of the cases reported. (A)
