Abstract

Cooperative systems are an inevitable trend in driver assistance systems.SAFESPOT, an integrated project in the European Union’s (EU’s) Sixth Framework Program, provides a proof of concept for a cooperative safety system. The non technical issues, such as the legal framework, risks, organizational architecture, business models and the assessment of effects, are addressed in sub project BLADE. This paper describes how exploratory deployment scenarios result in a deployment plan that presents recommendations for the main stakeholders to overcome the deployment challenges.
