Abstract

This paper outlines the challenges being faced in upgrading the Illinois Department of Transportation (DOT) Traffic Systems Center (TSC). Issues related to the need for upgrading the existing TSC are identified and the primary features of the new design are addressed. Moreover, the cut-over plan, which ensures non-interruptible operations, is outlined. New challenges may arise in the future as the system implementation progresses. (A*)
