Abstract

Several concepts are discussed in regard to urban modelling and more particularly, having to do with the relationships between various urban policies and the goals of urban development in the concept of system equilibrium. A broad class of dynamic models called urban or regional growth models are described. A modified version of the empiric models developed for application in Boston region is given.
