Abstract

Road safety should be considered a key quality of life issue. Although Britain has a low level of death and injury compared to the rest of Europe, there are still many areas for improvement. This report is intended to help local agencies work more effectively to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on our roads. This report is available at http://www.audit-commission.gov.uk. The website contains a searchable version of this report, as well as a text-only version that can easily be copied into other software for wider accessibility. (Author/publisher)
