A roadside survey in Denmark in 1990 involved interviewing 60,000 drivers, 287 of whom were arrested for drunken driving. This paper provides and analysis of the drivers arrested. Distribution by age and sex showed men mostly between the ages of 25 and 44 and very few women. A graph is presented showing the distribution of blood alcohol content for males. The location of drinking is discussed. Most drinking took place at home, but other places were often involved subsequently and drinking often took place over a long period.
